Our Story

The story of Cap Bunga Rose began almost 60 years ago in a small village by the Terengganu River called Kepong by a husband and wife, the late Haji Hassan bin Majid and the late Hajjah Kembang binti Abdul Rahman.

When the inspiration struck one day in the year of 1968 for a recipe of a new spice blend, Hajjah Kembang went straight to work with only a handful of spices made into a bowl of banana curry - as there were no other ingredients like meat or chicken available at that moment. That banana curry was then shared with neighbours and relatives who fell in love with the taste, and Rempah Cap Bunga Rose was born.

From there, Haji Hassan started selling Rempah Cap Bunga Rose by going around the state on his bicycle with the help of their children and the rest, as they say, is history. From blending whole spices at home and sending them by the sack to be processed into spice powder at other facilities in Kampung Tanjung and Kota Bharu, the huge demands of Rempah Cap Bunga Rose has allowed our late founders to build our very own first factory in the same village where it started.

The business stays with their children after the passing of our late founders, and currently run by the second and third generation of the family. It keeps on growing with the addition of our new factories at Kawasan Industri MARA Bukit Kor in Marang, Terengganu to meet increasing demands from all around Malaysia and overseas. We still maintain the exact same recipe of this heritage blend that you get to enjoy until today and will continue to do so in the future.

Apart from Rempah Gulai and Rempah Masak Cap Bunga Rose, we have two other main products under the brand - Serbuk Kacang Hijau Cap Bunga Rose and Pes Gulai Ayam Cap Bunga Rose.
