Daging Masak Hitam

[Beef with Spiced Black Sauce]

INGREDIENT A

  • 500gm meat (sliced thinly)
  • 2 stalks of lemon grass (pounded)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 5 tbsp thick soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup tamarind juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 tbsp Rempah Masak Cap Bunga Rose
  • 2 tbsp kerisik (toasted coconut paste)

INGREDIENT B

(blend finely)

  • 15 pcs dried chili
  • 10 shallots
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3cm ginger

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil and sautee lemongrass, INGREDIENT B  and Rempah Masak Cap Bunga Rose until fragrant.
  2. Add meat and water. Cook until meat is tender.
  3. Add soy sauce, tamarind juice, kerisik and salt. Mix well.
  4. Cook until the sauce is thick and glistening.
  5. Ready to serve.
